Two Lynchburg cemeteries will participate in Wreaths Across America on Dec. 14

LOCAL NEWS — Every December, folks across the U.S. gather in local cemeteries – including Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D. C. – to lay holiday wreaths on the graves of those brave men and women who have fallen serving our country. It’s the event’s goal to honor as many vets as possible dating all the way to the Revolutionary War and forward to present day conflicts.

On Saturday, December 14 folks in both Lynchburg Cemetery and Highview Cemetery will meet at noon to participate. Volunteers will lay wreaths of the grave site of our Moore County fallen soldiers and read their names aloud. The event will happen simultaneously in surrounding communities including Bell Buckle, Manchester, Shelbyville, Tullahoma, and Wartrace.
