Miss Lynchburg Pageant set for February 1

LOCAL NEWS | Events — Organizers recently announced the date of the 2020 Miss Lynchburg Pageant. The annual senior class fundraising event will be held on Saturday, February 1 at the LES Auditorium. The registration deadline will be Thursday, January 23.

To be eligible, contestant must meet the following requirements: 1) must be a child currently attending Moore County schools 2) children younger than kindergarten age must be a resident of Moore County and/or siblings must attend Moore County schools, and 3) no contestant can be (or has been) married or have children.

Category winners of last year’s pageant can not compete in the 2020 pageant. Winners of a particular category may not compete in the same category again. Categories include: Baby Miss (age 18 month to two years), Wee Miss (age three to kindergarten), Little Miss (grades 1-3), Young Miss (grades 4-6), Junior Miss (grades 7-9), and Miss Lynchburg (grades 10-12).

The entry fee per contestant is $25. Complete registration forms and the entry fee will be due no later that January 23. Checks may be made out to MCHS.

Organizers plan a practice date at LES Auditorium on Thursday, January 30. For more information, contact MCHS at 931-759-4231. Registration forms are available at all Moore County Schools. •
