Do you quilt, can, or like to bake? Frontier Days and the Moore County UT Extension office will partner for this year’s Moore County’s Fair Exhibits and Cultural Arts competition. Any Moore County resident, including youth, can enter to win prizes. (File Photo)

LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — Moore County doesn’t host it’s own county fair like our surrounding counties but we do celebrate and give a nod to our forefather and foremothers every June called Frontier Days. If you crochet, take photographs, weave, woodwork, or dozen of other categories the University of Tennessee’s local Extension office invites you to submit your “handiwork” to the Moore County’s Fair Exhibits and Cultural Arts competition happening during Frontier Days.

The competition is limited to Moore County residents only – both adults and youth. Any Moore County 4-H student or member of the Moore County FCE may enter any category, and entries can be dropped off on Wednesday, June 21 between 3-5 p.m. and Thursday, June 22 between 8-10 a.m. at the IBIS Building located just off the Lynchburg Square. Judging will take place on Thursday, June 22 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and the winners will be announced immediately after. All 4-H and youth entries will be judged separately.

Public viewing will take place on Friday and Saturday during Frontier Days and those who enter items should pick them up between 2-4 p.m. on Saturday.

All items must have been made since August 2022, with the exception of canned goods.
