Metro School Board meets Monday

MOORE COUNTY — The Metro School Board will meet on Monday in a regular session meeting at 6 p.m. at the Moore County High School Library.

In new business, the Board will address non-resident tuition for the upcoming school year. Currently, the school systems charges those living outside Moore County $400 per child, per year up to a $1200 household maximum. This non-resident tuition policy first went into effect in 2017 and is reviewed annually each March. To see the current policy, click here.

The Board will also review the Disciplinary Hearing Authority (DHA) for the upcoming year. The DHA currently consists of five members: Wendy Hart, Danny Mooney, Jacquline Cates, Monica Hardin, and Penny Smith. To the see the current policy, click here.

Also in new business, the Board will discuss upgrading the scoreboard at the softball/baseball fields.

Director Moorehead will also discuss the annual Director of Schools evaluation by the Metro School Board, give an ESSER funding update, and update the Board on the General Purpose Budget.
