Seven Moore County students make MTSU Dean’s List

LOCAL EDUCATION NEWS | Murfreesboro — On Tuesday Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) announced over 5,505 students who made their Spring 2021 Dean’s list and several Moore County students were among the honored. To make the list, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester grade-point average of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours. 

Moore County students to make MTSU Dean’ List included: Blayne Cashion, Katelin Faith Cauble, Trenton Edward Evans, Nathan David Hughes, Mackenzie Ann-Marie Newkirk, Hayley Pomarico, and Dillion Taylor.

MTSU began its summer 2021 semester May 17 and will end it with summer 2021 commencement on Saturday, Aug. 7  The semester is continuing as a mix of remote-learning, online, in-person and hybrid courses. University President Sidney A. McPhee announced May 24, however, that mask-wearing and social-distancing mandates have been lifted for the remainder of the summer.  The university plans to resume mostly in-person courses and activities for fall 2021, which begins Monday, Aug. 23. •
