4 Things to Do This Weekend Around Lynchburg

Fall is a beautiful time here in southern, middle Tennessee. Each Thursday, we like to highlight several events happening around Lynchburg that we think our readers will enjoy. Daytime temperatures will still hover near 50 this weekend but overnight temps will dip below freezing, so plan accordingly.

1| Always … Patsy Cline in Tullahoma | She famously died in a plane crash at the age of 30 in Camden, Tennessee – a little over a 100 miles from southern, middle Tennessee – and her impact on the worlds of country and pop music in America are undeniable. Beginning on Thursday, November 10 the South Jackson Civic Center in Tullahoma will take on Always … Patsy Cline – a musical that celebrates the icon. 2 | Host of Christmas Past in Fayetteville | It a small town street festival celebrating all things Christmas and it’s a great family-friendly event. The Host of Christmas Past takes place in historic, downtown Fayetteville and includes a candy cane hunt, hot cocoa, letters to Santa, story times, live music, a book signing, shopping and so much more. 3 | 5K Color Run at Tims Ford State Park | Yes, it’s going to be cooler on Saturday but it’s still perfect weather for a brisk run/walk in the fresh air. Join Tims Ford State Park on Saturday, November 12 for a Veteran’s Day 5K Color Run. The fall colors and lake views should be worth the effort. Veterans run for free. Everyone over the age of 16 will cost $30 and kids ages 11-15 cost $20. Registration includes a tshirt and goodie bag. All money raised goes to Friends of Tims Ford State Park. 4 | Fall Craft Fair in Woodbury | Craft fairs and art shows are a great way to do a little Christmas shopping and support local artists and crafters.
