Former MCHS teacher Tommy Beavers dies at 63

Tommy Beavers 1958 – 2021

Lynchburg resident Thomas ‘Tommy’ Gordon Beavers, age 63, passed away on April 23, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee on March 7, 1958 to Harold and Ila Mansfield Beavers. Tommy retired as an educator for Moore County High School having served 36 years as an agriculture education teacher and FFA advisor. He was also a member of Lynchburg First Baptist Church.

He preceded in death by his mother, Ila Beavers, and grandparents, Doc and Ruth Beavers.

Tommy Beavers is survived by his wife: Denise Schultz Beavers of Lynchburg; father: Harold Beavers of Fayetteville; daughter: Shea (Chris) Logan of Lynchburg; son: Josh Beavers of Lynchburg; grandchildren: Kinsley and Laten Logan; and sister: Pam Beavers (Ron) Thomas of Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Graves and Rev. Ronald Arrick officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 4-8 p.m. •
