EVENTS | Nashville — Ever watch the Discovery Channel’s docuseries Oddities? The half-hour show follows the operations of an East Village shop, Obscura Antiques & Oddities, which specializes in antiques and other rarities. Co-owners Mike Zohn and Evan Michelson and their buyer, Ryan Matthew, scour flea markets, auctions, and personal collections for unusual artifacts.
They’ve found everything from a mummified cat to an antique straight jacket. That same zeitgeist will come to the The Fairground Nashville on October 12 for The Oddities Market … a traveling market curated by Zohn. You’ll find everything from skulls, bones, jewelry, antiques, art, quack medical, candles, occult, t-shirts, true crime, taxidermy, collectibles, dark art, upcycled creations, haunted pieces, and so much more.
General admission tickets are $10 and are sold at the door, cash only. For more details click here. •
