PELHAM — Experience TN, which is headquartered right here in Lynchburg, is now an official sponsor of The Caverns Sessions, broadcast on 350 PBS stations across the U.S. They are joined in the sponsorship by partnering community organizations Shelbyville-Bedford Partnership, Winchester, TN, and the South Cumberland Partnership.
“The Caverns is both a cultural landmark and an economic powerhouse for Tennessee’s South Central and Southeastern regions,” Ryan French, executive director of South Central Tennessee Tourism Association and Experience TN – the region’s consumer-facing brand. “Each week, thousands of visitors embark on a one-of-a-kind musical journey found nowhere else in the country. Attending a show at The Caverns is more than a concert, it’s an experience, and exactly the kind of authentic Tennessee adventure we are proud to promote.”
The Caverns Sessions are taped deep within an underground amphitheater in Grundy County. The 16-time EMMY winning musical adventure features established and emerging artists performing a wide range of genres, including Americana, rock, bluegrass, country, blues, jazz and more.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Experience Tennessee as an underwriter of The Caverns Sessions,” Todd Mayo, The Caverns founder and co-producer of The Caverns Sessions, said. “Their support helps us keep shining a light in the darkness—on both the incredible artists carving their place in today’s music landscape and the natural beauty of Tennessee that resonates deep below the Earth’s surface. Together, we’ll keep unearthing unforgettable performances that draw visitors from across the country to explore the wonders of our state, above ground and underground.”
The upcoming PBS season features Ruby Waters, Violent Femmes, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, and Shakey Graves, among others. Click here for tickets to upcoming shows at The Caverns, to experience a remarkable concert in a truly unique venue.
“I’m excited for this opportunity to partner with Todd Mayo and his world-class team at The Caverns,” French continued. “Together, through this co-op program, we will generate meaningful exposure and opportunities for our partnering communities. They Caverns’ professionalism and vision are unmatched, and working alongside them to promote our region will be both impactful and inspiring.”
