Janette Montgomery dies at 84

Janette Montgomery 1937 – 2021

LOCAL OBITUIARY — Moore County native Janette Marie Montgomery, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. According to her family, Janette was a sweet, kind loving person that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. “She had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit and enjoyed an adventure. Janette was a retired business owner that ran her company with care and compassion making a great difference in people’s lives,” they said.

She was born May, 23, 1937, in Moore, County, Tennessee, to the late, Vopal and Inez Parker Warren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Montgomery, a sister, Carolyn Adamson, a brother, William Charles “Doug” Warren and a brother-in-law, Clarence “Buddy” Adamson.

Survivors include her children, Lydia (Lyle) Boppre, Patrick (Michelle) Riggins and stepdaughter, Elsa (Kent) Montgomery, as well as grandchildren, Sara Boppre, Susan (William) Honey,  Kelsie (Levi)  Boppre,  Tristen (Roderick) Riggins,  Ashley Riggins (Trish) and Jordan Riggins, and great grandchildren,  Emma Leigh Boppre,  Sophie Marie Garcia, Braxton Lee Fisher,  Easton Jay Fisher and Peyton Lynn Fisher.

Siblings include Jerry (Dora) Warren,  Vonda (Delbert) Jones,  Dayton (Pollyanna) Warren,  Peggy Campbell,  Novella (Gary) Koplan and Nancy (Ben) Royston,  sister-in-law,  Annette Warren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held. •
