Nearest Green Distillery hosts tree lighting on Friday

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — A Bedford County distillery with deep Lynchburg ties – The Nearest Green Distillery – will host Winter Wonderland event and holiday tree lighting on Friday, November 24. The annual event will feature a tree lighting ceremony, live entertainment, and giveaways.

Eventgoers can also participate in a special bottle signing by both CEO & Founder, Fawn Weaver, and Master Blender, Victoria Eady Butler. They will also release the very limited Uncle Nearest x Kelsey Montague Single Barrel Limited Edition bottle that day. You can also try unique foodie items like Uncle Nearest Hot Toddies, Not Your Uncle’s Eggnog (dairy Free), brisket chili, sweet treats, and seasonal popcorn

Live music will be provided by Sam & the Mix Yuletide Carolers, a live Gospel Choir, and Audra Mclaughlin of The Voice fame.

The event will take place for 4-7 p.m. at The Nearest Green Distillery located at 3125 US-231 in Shelbyville. The first 1,000 registrants will also receive a limited edition Winter Wonderland ornament. To learn more about the distillery, click here. •
