LOCAL NEWS — Santa Claus may be making his list and checking it twice but folks in south central Tennessee are keeping an eye on the weather as national weather peeps forecast a chance of a White Christmas.

On Friday, area meteorologists were calling for just a 30 percent chance of snow in Tennessee with Lynchburg predicted to get two to three inches. By Monday, weather prediction models increased it to a 60 percent chance. The high on Thursday will peak at just 42 degrees and the overnight low will dip into the twenties. It will certainly be cold enough. The National Weather Service in Huntsville says snow could begin Thursday night and continue into Christmas morning but they don’t expect much accumulation.

So, get to snow dancing kiddos. •
