Farmers Market happening in Wiseman Park today

Lynchburg Honey’s Bee Man, Billy Allen, buzzed into the Lynchburg Farmer’s Market to sell his delicious made in the hills of Moore County honey. If you haven’t tried the creamed honey, you really should. It’s perfection on a homemade biscuit. {Lynchburg Times Photo}

LYNCHBURG — It seems there’s always a chance of a pop up storm on Friday afternoons between 2-5 p.m., and so the Lynchburg Farmers Market has decided to stick with their original location at Moorehead Pavilion in Wiseman Park. On Friday, the open air market will take place again from 2-5 p.m.

Last week’s market offered homemade desserts, art, local honey, fresh-baked breads, jams, jellies, locally-grown garden plants, local beef, birdhouses, as well as fresh fruits and veggies. Who knows what they’ll have available this week? There’s only one way to find out.

Through September, the Lynchburg Farmers Market will happen every Friday in Wiseman Park from 2-5 p.m. •
