TULLAHOMA — On October 13, 2016, the worst happened for Moore County native Troy Durm. His wife, Andrea, lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer.

In the years that followed, he decided to do something to fight the horrible disease in Andrea’s honor. This Saturday, February 29, Durm along with his band members from Yesterday’s Wine will perform at the Pink in the Color of Hope annual breast cancer concert at South Jackson Civic Center. They’ll perform classic country hits mixed with a little rock.

“We do this show in honor of her fight of this horrible disease and in her memory,” Durm said on the event’s Facebook Page. “I have decided from now on, the money we raise is going to stay local, to help folks around our surrounding counties. I’m going to use the money to purchase gas cards and food cards and give them to some of the local churches, to distribute to those in need.”

There will also be a silent auction the night of the concert offering a wide variety of items from local small businesses. Silent auction items can be paid for with cash or check.
