Support the Flat Creek Fire Department at a BBQ on Sept. 28

LOCAL NEWS | Flat Creek — You might know that the tiny Flat Creek community has its very own volunteer fire department but did you know that one of their dedicated firefighters was Lynchburg Veterinary Hospital’s own Dr. Bryant Morton.

This incredible group volunteers their time to respond to area fires and car accidents as first responders. They also endure hours of training on their own time and are responsible for purchasing their own equipment. You can show your support on Saturday, September 28 from 4-7 p.m. at the annual Flat Creek Fire Department Barbecue. Your $10 ticket price includes barbecue, sides, and a drink. Desserts will also be available for an extra dollar or two.

You can purchase your tickets at the Lynchburg Veterinary Hospital or from any firefighter. The event will take place at the Flat Creek Fire Station. For more info, click here. •
