EVENTS | Fayetteville — Beginning tonight, the Carriage House Players will perform William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at the Lincoln County Museum Theatre in Fayetteville. One of Lynchburg’s own, Justin Lendley, will star as Benedick – a role played on Broadway by the great John Gielgud and on the big screen by Kenneth Branagh.

Set in Medina, a port city on the island of Sicily, the play tells the story of two couples Benedick and Beatrice as well as Claudio and Hero who have their romantic world turned upside down at a masked ball. It’s full of trickery, scheming, and witty banter and explores the themes of gender roles, infidelity, deception, and mistaken identity.

The play begins tonight and runs Thursday through Saturday on November 7-9 and 14-16 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $8 for students. You can purchase tickets in Fayetteville at Bagley & Bagley Insurance, Carter’s Drug Store or The Flower House. You can also purchase by phone on the CHP Hotline 931-433-1300.
