Eight Tennessee State Parks — including nearby Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill — will offer Thanksgiving meals at state parks restaurants this year — giving families the opportunity to enjoy a holiday feast together without the busy work at home to prepare one.
Each of the parks will have the meals on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov. 23. The parks are: David Crockett State Park, Fall Creek Falls State Park, Cumberland Mountain State Park, Henry Horton State Park, and Montgomery Bell State Park (Sold out), Natchez Trace State Park , Paris Landing State Park, and Pickwick Landing State Park.
Henry Horton State Park will offer a buffet lunch beginning at noon at the Conference Hall (beside the lodge). It offers a scenic view of the Duck River and opened in 2022. The new space offers an airy and casual atmosphere filled with comfortable seating, a spacious bar, and an outdoor patio space. Surrounded by lush fields and shady groves, the restaurant’s location allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of the state park with indoor and outdoor seating.
The cost is $18 per adult and $9 per child. Prices do not include drinks, taxes, or gratuity. Reservations are required for buffet at 931-364-2222 (press 3), with cut-off date Nov. 18. A menu-based lunch will also be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and reservations are not required. To view their menu, click here. The restaurant is located at 4209 Nashville Highway in Chapel Hill.
