LOCAL NEWS | Events — Losing a family member in service of this country is one of the greatest sacrifices a family can make. Fallen Heroes Family Camp seeks to soothe that burden by connecting these families and giving them a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Located at JML Farms near Springfield, the camp combines equine activities and the therapeutic nature of the great outdoors to help families heal. Participants learn to ride, rope, and work around horses with confidence. For more information about the camp, click here.

On Saturday, October 26, the Lynchburg Garage and Sloan’s Motorcycle & ATV will jointly host a benefit for the camp during the Jack Daniel Barbecue. Attendees can meet Joel Bell of Rocket Farm Guitar and enter to win one of his one-of-a-kind cigar box guitars. All donations will benefit the Fallen Heroes Family Camp. Tickets are available at Indian Motorcycle’s Lynchburg Garage, Sloan’s in Murfreesboro, or any Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) member. The drawing will take place around 5 p.m. For more information, check out the event’s Facebook page.
