Something wicked this way comes … the Nashville Shakespeare Festival will take on Macbeth for their winter performance but with a dystopian twist. Set in an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic world, this re-imagining of one of the Bard’s most popular tragedies blends prophecy, murder, madness, and the ever unrelenting quest for power.

It’s a traveling performance, which will be at Tullahoma High School on February 14.

Directed by David Wilkerson, public performance will premiere tonight (January 9) at Belmont University’s Trout Theater and continue until Sunday, January 26. On January 30, the show will re-open at the Academy Park Performance Arts Center in Franklin for a four day run. It then moves to Murfreesboro’s MTSU Tucker Theatre for performance from February 6-8.
