Tims Ford State Park looking for artist for April’s Art in the Park

WINCHESTER — Art and nature seem to just go together and in April locals will get the opportunity to blend the two with the annual Art in the Park event at Tims Ford State Park, located just over the Moore County line in Franklin County.

The event will take place at Spencer Hall inside Tims Ford State Park. That’s the building near the site of the state park former pool. The GPS address is 1200 Tims Ford Drive in Winchester.

Event organizer Shelby Funk is now accepting applications for artists to sell and exhibit at the spring art show. She’s looking for artist working in glass, pottery, wood, mixed media, and fiber arts as well as sculptors, jewelry makers, photographers, digital creators, dancers, and writers.

The event will take place outdoors on April 26 and vendors can display and sell art for a small vendor fee of $10 for a 10×10 spot. It’s a great way to network with other artist, raise funds for a local nonprofit, or sell your artwork.

If you are interested, email Shelby at [email protected] or stop by the Tims Ford State Park Visitor’s Center for an application. •
