Tullahoma man dies in Flat Creek Highway wreck

MOORE COUNTY — According to the preliminary accident report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Benjamin Brazzell, age 36, of Tullahoma died on Monday afternoon in a one vehicle accident on the Flat Creek Highway.

Brazzell’s vehicle was travelling southbound on the Flat Creek Highway around 5 p.m. on Monday when it ran off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail, then crossed over to Wiseman Road striking a second guardrail, according to the THP report.

The car then flipped over ejecting the driver and coming to rest in northbound lane. Brazzell was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Metro Moore County Sheriff Tyler Hatfield. Both Moore County EMS, Bedford County, and THP responded to the accident.

Known to his friends as “Big Ben,” Brazzell once played for the Nashville Storm football team. Full obituary information was not available at press time. •
