Youth Raider Baseball plans fundraising golf event

LOCAL NEWS — Larry David once famously said that golf and dating don’t mix. But you know what is a winning combination? … golf and fundraising.

On March 21, the local 10 and Under Moore County Raiders youth baseball team will host Birdies Fore Baseball to help fund their upcoming season. The four man select shot scramble will start at 12 p.m. with a lunch and silent auction. The golf scramble will tee off at 1 p.m.

There will be cash prizes for first, second, seventh, and eleventh place (assuming 15 team) plus prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin on all par 3 tees. The cost to play is $75 per player, which includes lunch. Birdies Fore Baseball will take place at WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester located at 6751 McMinnville Highway. •
