LOCAL NEWS — According to Public Safety Director Jason Deal, Moore County’s 911 system remains down but locals can still reach emergency personnel.
“Moore Co EOC has redundancies in place for situations like this,” Director Deal says. “We have internet and we have telephones working. The one thing we cannot control is the routing of 911 calls.”
Deal says Moore County has software’s in place that allow them to see if someone is trying to call 911 and it gives them their location and their call back information.
Director Deal says that until 911 services are restored, if locals need the sheriff’s department, EMS, fire department or other public services, they should call call 931-759-7323.•
