LOCAL NEWS — For 42 years, Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC) home energy specialist, Anne Throneberry, traveled to Moore and the surrounding counties hosting her popular Holiday Foods Program. That tradition ended in 2016, but the Moore County Family and Community Education Club will keep that tradition alive with an event this Thursday.
Keeping Up the Tradition: Holiday Recipes and Gift Ideas from the Kitchen will take place on November 7 from 6-8 p.m. at the Moore County Public Library. Organizers will tell stories, share memories, as well as deliver holiday entertaining ideas and sample recipes. For more information, contact the MCPL at 931-759-7285. •
