LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — According to an incident report from the Moore County Sheriff’s Department, a local Church of Christ preacher was arrested last Thursday on a prostitution charge.

On July 20, around 4:30 p.m, local authorities arrested 50 year old Forrest David Bryan under Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) code 64A, which involves human trafficking and commercial sex acts including “inducing a person by force, fraud, or coercion to participate in commercial sex acts.”

The incident report alleges that Bryan became obsessed with a mentally disabled 21 year-old church member and sent her text messages offering to pay for sex. Local authorities were made aware of the potential abuse by a local clergy member by Tennessee Adult Protective Services.

Their complaint alleges that Bryan “became obsessed with the victim and would show up at all hours of the day and night at the victim’s caretaker’s home.” The complaint further alleged that the accused sent inappropriate texts to the victim offering to pay her for sex.

Bryan also served as a dispatcher for the Metro Moore Sheriff’s Department. He remains in custody with a $100,000 bond on felony charges. He will appear in court on Tuesday, July 25. •
