REGIONAL NEWS | Normandy — The Arrowhead Boys Ranch will hold its annual BBQ and Auction fundraiser on Saturday, September 25 at 239 Cortner Mill Road in Normandy. Organizers will offer Delicious BBQ platters as well as free hotdog meals to children under eight years old. The cost is just $12 per plate when you order in advance and $15 at the gate. A Silent Auction begins at 4 p.m. and a live auction starts at 7 p.m.
“This event kicks off the fall season for the ranch and we look forward to visiting with our friends and supporters. We couldn’t make this happen without our faithful volunteers and very generous sponsors—for that we are grateful and appreciative of all the support we receive throughout the community,” Executive Director Darren Delin stated.
Attendees can enjoy a guided tour of the ranch, live music and the always entertaining live auction. Additionally, there will be activities for kids, such as face painting and bounce houses.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to Arrowhead Ranch expenses such as housing, counseling, food, health care, transportation and activities for the boys. The Arrowhead Boys Ranch is a non-profit, long term residential care facility for boys ages 10-16 years old that are dealing with conflict and misguided direction in their lives. While at the ranch, the boys learn the importance of hard work and team building while in a Christian family environment. Arrowhead Ranch’s goal is to instill hope and a sense of purpose into the boys as they grow into young men.
