According to numbers provided by the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office, 2,280,767 Tennesseans voted early in the 2020 Presidential Election including 2,070,339 early votes and 210,408 absentee votes. There are around 4,428,500 registered voters in the state meaning that nearly half of all ballots have already been cast.

In Moore County, 2,707 votes were cast during early voting – 2,654 early votes and 53 absentee votes. That’s around half of Moore County’s registered voters. According to the state, early voting was up 47.6 percent in Moore county compared to 2016 Presidential Election ballots.

Election Day is next Tuesday, November 3. All those who have not already cast ballots will need to vote in person. Votes returned by mail are only counted in Tennessee if they arrive on November 3 by the close of polls. To view a list of federal and state candidates, click here.
