LOCAL OBITUARY | John Pomfret Long, IV passed away on Wednesday, July 29, from a long illness. He was 85.

John was born in Sheffield, Alabama, and a proud veteran who served his country. He moved to Lynchburg many years ago, and worked at Frito-Lay in Fayetteville. He was also a “traveling preacher” who served three different churches in the area.

He is survived by his wife, Mila, and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to honor him at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2 at 1 p.m. The funeral home is located at 401 N Jackson Street in Tullahoma. •
