LOCAL NEWS — If you get your monthly prescriptions filled at the Lynchburg Drug Store, you might want a back up plan for the next couple of weeks. According to both their social media pages and signs on their front door, they will be closed the next two to three weeks.

The reason? The longtime local business gave three: 1) to do extensive renovations, 2) to renegotiate insurance contracts, and 3) to redo state paperwork.

“Please contact the store at 931-759-7329 to let us know where to send your prescription refills so you will not run out,” a sign on their front door reads.

The Lynchburg Drug Stores is located at 47 Mechanic Street on the historic Lynchburg Square. •
