It’s supposed to be their big day. When many couples circled the date on their 2020 calendar, most could never have anticipated that a global pandemic would force them to shrink the size of their affair.

But small equals intimate, and local wedding vendors say small weddings can be packed with special details. That’s the idea behind boutique weddings and the reason a group of more than 10 southern, middle Tennessee wedding vendors have teamed up to give one lucky couple a boutique wedding in 2021.

“We want to bring 2021 in spreading joy and bringing hope by gifting a wedding to a deserving couple and making their day as special as we possibly can,” said Joy Yancey of Ivy & Grace, one of the participating vendors.

One lucky couple will win a fully designed, boutique wedding for 22 people at the historic Promise Manor in Lynchburg. The planning, the photographer, the dress, hair, make up, catering, DJ … it’s all included.

“We are looking for a couple with an inspiring story of strength and dedication to one another,” says Yancey. “It doesn’t have to be COVID related. Our goal is to serve someone who deserves to be served.”

The group will choose the winner on October 18. •
