LOCAL SPORTS | LYNCHBURG — The Moore County Middle School (MCMS) Raiderettes hung in there with the Cannon County Middle School Lady Lions on Tuesday before the Woodbury school managed a run in each of the two final innings to pull ahead 6-4.
Moore County managed to tie the game at four all in the fourth inning when when Anna Leigh Ross grounded out, scoring one run. It was as close as they would get.
Addye Norman led for the MCMS Raiderettes going 3-for-3 at the plate. Kaitlynn Gattis got a homerun in the first inning. Kallie Ross took the loss for Moore County. She pitched seven innings allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out two an walking zero. •
