LOCAL NEWS — The Metro Moore County School Board will meet on Monday, September 16 at 6 p.m. at the Central Office located behind the Lynchburg Elementary.
The board will elect officers for the new school year including chair, vice-chair, and chair prom-tem. The board will also hear public input. They will continue ongoing policy review of items 1.407 through 1.908 and the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) recommended changes to the payroll procedures and testing policies.
In new business, the board will discuss a non-faculty head coach supplement, a field trip request from the FFA, custodial supply bids, budget amendments, and an ESP bonus.
Director of Schools Chad Moorehead will also give a construction progress report, update on any personnel retirements or resignations, and give a report on the repaired LES gym floor.
