Miss Lynchburg Pageant postponed due to illness

LOCAL NEWS — On Tuesday, Metro Director of Schools Chad Moorehead announced that all Moore County Schools would be closed for the rest of the week due to illness. The organizers of the annual Miss Lynchburg Pageant have decided to follow suit in the interest of public health by postponing their event until February 8.

“All times for the pageant will remain the same. We will also have practice on Thursday February 6 at the same times as previously given for practice,” organizers stated. “We understand this is not the ideal situation, however we feel it’s best to get everyone healthy before the pageant takes place.”

Organizers plan a practice date at LES Auditorium on Thursday, February 6. For more information, contact MCHS at 931-759-4231. •
