Motlow Foundation plans annual golf tourney for Sept. 27

LYNCHBURG — The 31st Annual Motlow College Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 27, at Bear Trace Golf Course at Tims Ford State Park. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit scholarships for Motlow State students. In the event of rain, the tournament will be postponed to October 4.

The tournament is a four-person scramble with lunch at 11 a.m. and tee time at 12 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places for two flights, and there will be special prizes for the closest to the pin and longest drive. Stan McNabb Automotive is also sponsoring a hole-in-one contest.

The entry fee is $500 per team, which includes green fees, cart rental, mulligans, food, drinks, and a goody bag. Hole sponsorships are available for $125.

The event is sponsored by Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, FirstBank, Jacobs, Nissan-Decherd, The Accord Group LLC, Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital, MTSI, Cravens and Company, Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home, VideoBomb, and Ascend Federal Credit Union.
