LOCAL NEWS — In addition to being area leaders in nursing and robotics, Motlow State also boasts some very talented musicians. They’ll show them off on Friday, October 18 from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. with a free Piano Trio Concert at Powers Auditoriam/Eoff Hall on the Moore County campus. The event is part of the Motlow Concert Series featuring Motlow faculty musicians and guest artists.
Pianist and Adjunct Professor of Music, Lisa Maurer, resident Violinist and Adjunct Professor of Music, John Harris; and guest Cellist, Huntsville Symphony Member, and University of the South Cello Professor, Kaitlyn Vest will all perform the works of Jacquet de La Guerre, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Ravel, and the 70s group, The Buggles.
According to the college, they’ll guide the audience “through the historical evolution of music written for this chamber ensemble.”
Admission is free and open to the general public.•
