LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — When you shop local in Lynchburg, you can find all kinds of neat things from unique baby apparel to signature leather designs to one-of-a-kind art and kitschy southern items. You can also get your hair cut from the same guy that cuts Dave Matthews hair on occasion. There’s literally something for everyone and local small businesses invite you to come explore on Saturday, July 29 for a Shop Local, Shop Lynchburg event.
Locals and visitors can swing by the Lynchburg Welcome Center located at 133 Lynchburg Highway and pick up a Shop Local, Shop Lynchburg punch card to win free prizes. Punch cards will also be available at all participating vendors. Most will offer promotional discounts, a special gift with purchase, or other bonuses to shoppers that day.
Participating businesses will include: Miss Mary Bobo’s Restaurant, Southern Perks, Cradle & Coo Baby Boutique, Cowboy Jack’s, Sully’s Gifts & Collectibles, Whiskey Waffle, Dixie Outfitters, Taylor’s Leatherwear, Lynchburg Gifts, & More, Jackie’s Gift Gallery, Honey Bunny Mercantile, Prince’s Parlor, Lynchburg Harley Davidson, Heaven in the Hollow, Moon Pie General Store, Lynchburg Outdoors, Sweet Southern Spirits Candy Kitchen & General Store, Lynchburg Cigar Company, Stave and Stone Wood-Fired Pizza, Velma’s Candy, Barrel House BBQ, Lynchburg Ladies Handiwork, Lynchburg Winery, American Craft Distillers, The BBQ Caboose, The Lynchburg Welcome Center, Real Deal Designs, Lynchburg Hardware & General Store, and Barber Authority.
After you visit five participating businesses and get your card punched, you can swing back by the Lynchburg Welcome Center for a free Shop Local t-shirt. Cards must be redeemed no later that 4 p.m. All those who participate will also be entered to win a Shop Lynchburg gift basket filled with some awesome local prizes like hats, signature sauces, local cookbooks, and lots of gift cards. That winner will also be announced at 4 p.m. •
