A fierce Raiderettes defense and six of nine from the tournament MVP, Madison Dingler, helped lift Moore County to a 40-37 win over Eagleville and their second District 9A Championship in a row on Friday.
It was the one-two punch from a Moore County senior and a Moore County freshman that sent the Forrest Rockets girls basketball team into the L column on Tuesday. Senior Olivia Richards scored 21 and freshman Ellie Graham scored 20 to combine for 41 of Moore County's 52 points in the 52-41 victory.
The Raiderettes improved their record to 4-2 with a 55-29 victory over the Forrest Lady Rocket on Friday night in Lynchburg. Olivia Richards led with 19 points.
