LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — There’s just something about live music in Lynchburg, Tennessee that screams a good time, and thanks to the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association (SCTTA), The Jack Daniel Distillery, and Bonnaroo a new spring concert series will happen on the historic distillery campus on Friday, May 9.

It’s called the Lawn Sessions and it harkens back to the days small town festivals, porch parties, and good old fashioned pickin’ sessions – all in the one-of-a-kind backdrop of the rolling hills of Moore County.

The line up will include three amazing acts: Nashville’s rock and soul band, Hippies and Cowboys, American Idol finalist HunterGirl, and The Huffer Brothers from right here in Lynchburg.

Hippies and Cowboys sounds like if Marvin Gaye and Lynyrd Skynyrd had a baby. They’ve recorded tracts in the iconic studios of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and blend
southern rock, blues, and soul into tunes that make it hard to sit still. To learn more about their music, click here.

Winchester’s HunterGirl draws a crowd anytime she plays in southern, middle Tennessee. She won runner up in the 2022 season of American Idol, and she’s been growing strong ever since. After her stint on the show, HunterGirl signed a joint deal with Wheelhouse and 19 Recordings, and released Ain’t About You on October 23, 2023, as her debut single to country radio. A little later, she released her debut EP, Tennessee Girl. She does her own songwriting and they each bleed with the point of view of a small town girl dreaming of more. To learn more, click here.

When they aren’t hanging out in Lynchburg, Moore County’s own The Huffer Brothers are playing their blend of country rock at places like Toostie Orchid Lounge and Old Red Nashville. They blend Lynchburg sensibilities with country roots and smidge of attitude. They plan to release an album later in 2025, so this could be your last chance to say you knew them when.
