The Trails and Trilliums Festival native plant sale always offers a huge selection of hard-to-find native wildflowers, shrubs, ferns, and trees. A list of plants will be posted to their website prior to the day of the event. {Photo Provided}

Monteagle — There’s nothing more oh-so-Tennessee than celebrating Earth Day on the Cumberland Plateau. Organizers recently announced that the dates for the 2020 Trails & Trilliums Festival have been set for April 17-19. The annual fundraiser for Friends of South Cumberland includes over 25 guided hikes, a native plant sale, as well as nature-related programs, workshops, and author talks. This year will feature a new event, the Trails & Trilliums Family Campout.

Events take place in and around the Dubose Conference Center in Monteagle. Keynote speaker this year will be naturalist and storyteller Ranger Bob Fulcher. For more information, visit their website. You can also get up-to-the-event updates on their Facebook page. •
