LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — There aren’t many places in Moore County that carry the particular magic of BBQ Hill — that stretch of ground at Jack Daniel’s where the air smells like something good and the evening light tends to do exactly what it’s supposed to do.
On Saturday, June 13, United Way of South Central Tennessee will return to that spot for United in Spirits 2026, the organization’s signature summer fundraiser. The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m., with guests checking in at the Tennessee Whiskey Trailhead and Lynchburg Welcome Center before being shuttled up to the hill.
This year’s presenting sponsors are DOT Foods and Jack Daniel’s.

The evening includes a gourmet dinner from Strawberry Moon Catering Co., three drinks per attendee, and live music underwritten by Common John Brewing Co. A silent auction will be held alongside a program highlighting United Way’s work across Moore, Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Lincoln, Rutherford and Warren counties — work centered on keeping kids in school, improving access to healthcare and helping families build financial footing.
The cause is real and local. United Way of South Central Tennessee funds programs that don’t make headlines but quietly hold communities together — the tutoring, the health screenings, the emergency stabilization that keeps a family from falling off a cliff they can’t always see coming.
Community tickets are available at yourlocaluw.org/UIS26. Sponsorship opportunities remain open through May 15; contact ashley.abraham@yourlocaluw.org for information. •
