LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — The Moore County High School Golf Team is heading back to one of Tennessee’s most scenic courses, and they’re inviting the community to join them.
The 2nd Annual Raider Classic Golf Tournament is set for Friday, May 29, at Bear Trace at Tims Ford Golf Course. Registration opens at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and a BBQ lunch to follow at noon. Prizes will be awarded for flight winners, flight runners-up, and closest to the pin.
Individual player registration is $100, and team registration is $400. To sign up, email Marty Liles at marty.liles@moorecountyschools.net.
A Chance to Support the Program
The tournament also comes with a menu of sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and community members who want to invest in the program beyond a round of golf. Sponsorship tiers for the 2026 season include:
Platinum sponsors at $1,000 receive a tournament team entry, a tee box sponsorship sign, and an XL logo on the team banner. Gold sponsors at $500 receive a tournament team entry and a tee box sponsorship sign. Silver sponsors at $250 receive a large name or logo on the tournament and match banner. Bronze sponsors at $100 receive a tee box sponsorship sign.
Whether you’re a scratch golfer or someone who just enjoys a good excuse to get outside on a Friday morning, the Raider Classic is a chance to play a beautiful course and put something back into a program that represents Moore County on the fairway.
