LYNCHBURG — According to the Metro Sheriff’s Department, the Moore County Courthouse will re-open it’s doors to the public today (June 5) in a limited capacity.

Temporarily, the courthouse will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offices will close on those days from 12-1 p.m. for lunch. On Thursdays, the Chancery Clerk and Circuit Court Clerk’s offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Metro Mayor Bonnie Lewis’s office will now be open all day on Thursday.

Those with business at the courthouse are asked to enter through the north entrance (the disability accessible entrance) and expect to be screened before entering. If the office you are headed to is currently occupied, you may be asked to wait in your car until that Metro official is available.
