Mulberry residents Frances Matlock and Jack Matlock were married 47 years and died three days apart last week – her on Thursday and him on Saturday. Their visitation and funeral services will be held together this week.
James “Mickey” Ervin died this week at the age of 78. Visitation with the family will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 25 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service to follow on Saturday.

Gai Thi Hawkins, wife of Metro Council member Wayne Hawkins, died on Friday, November 1. She will buried in North Carolina on Thursday.
Moore County native Janette Marie Montgomery, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 12-2 p.m. at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home located at 181 Majors Boulevard in Lynchburg. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.
