LOCAL OBITUARY | David Earl Northcutt, age 61, of Tullahoma, Tennessee died suddenly on Friday, September 11, 2026, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Northcutt was born in Manchester, Tennessee to the late William Earl Northcutt and Donna Jean Davidson Northcutt on May 22, 1965. He graduated from Grundy County High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College. Mr. Northcutt was employed by Ford Motor for 30 years before taking a job with The Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee where he was employed for approximately 18 years. During his years with Ford and Jack Daniel’s he operated his own business, Northcutt’s Auto Repair, for approximately 14 years. His work was his enjoyment, building trucks and cars with his son was at the top. He also collected Jack Daniels Memorabilia and enjoyed Truck Pulling. He will be remembered as a “Gentle Giant”, loving husband, wonderful Daddy and the best “Pops”.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Northcutt was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Hobert Tucker.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Tucker Northcutt of Tullahoma, daughters; Jessica (James) Key of Decherd, Kayla (Lyle) McKinney of Winchester, Lindsey (T.J.) Robison of McMinnville, son, Tucker (Callie) Northcutt of Lynchburg. Grandchildren are; Tyler, Caitlin, Josi and Jakson Key, Anna and Noah McKinney, Scarlett Robison, Carlee and Olivia Bogardus, Hudson Robison and Hallee Beth Northcutt, Mother-in-law, Wanda Tucker of Tullahoma, Tenn., brother from another mother, Chip (Leah) Money of Estill Springs, Tenn.; Multiple siblings and brother’s and sister’s-in- law, and a host of friends that are family, The Maxwell House Forum and J.D. Collectors Community.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, September 15, from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 16 from 12-2 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 2 p.m. Both will both take place in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services located at 103 Peters Road in Estill Springs. Brother Jim Sanders, will officiate.
