LOCAL NEWS — Based on its success last year in the UK, Jack Daniel’s Distillery will introduce it’s Holiday Countdown Calendar in the United States for the holiday season. It should be available locally in November. It features four 50mL bottles each of Jack Daniel whiskeys: Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire as well as two 50mL bottles each of Gentleman Jack and Single Barrel Select. It will also include branded shot glasses.

It’s similar to an Advent calendar … except adults get to enjoy a whiskey-a-day instead of candy. The idea according to Master Distiller Jeff Arnett is to give people around the country an opportunity to taste different Jack Daniel’s whiskey. “Every drop of which comes from Lynchburg,” he added in a prepared statement.

The 2019 calendar will also be released in  United Kingdom, Australia, Poland, Czech Republic and France. •
