LOCAL NEWS — German Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, Pecan Pie … the ladies of Moore County can bake y’all. And the Moore County Historical and Genealogical Society needs your help. They are currently asking for baked goods donations for their annual Cake and Pie Auction on Saturday, October 26 during the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue.

Items can be dropped off at the Moore County Jail Museum located just off the Lychburg Square between 12:30 and 4 p.m. on Friday, October 25. All proceed from the auction will benefit the Moore County Historical and Genealogical Society and the Jail Museum. •
