LOCAL NEWS — Wondering where your December Metro Utilities Department (MUD) bill for water, sewer, and garbage pick up is this month? You aren’t alone. MUD reports they received multiple calls last week from customers saying that had not yet received their monthly bill.
“We experienced some problems with our billing software and had to work out some issues prior to processing the bills,” MUD officials stated on their Facebook page.
MUD officials say that bills went out on Tuesday, December 8 but they realize that they might not be received until right before the December 15 due date. Due to the delay, MUD will waive any late fees for the month of December. Any customer who does not receive a bill should call the MUD offices for a bill total.
“We ask that all bills be paid by the close of business on December 30,” MUD stated.
Due to rising COVID 19 case counts, the MUD offices are currently closed to walk in traffic but you may reach them via phone at 931-759-4297, visit their website by clicking here, or use their drive up window during regular office hours. MUD offices will also be closed December 24-28. Bill payment is possible 24/7 via their website. •
