LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — Fresh off the MCHS Senior Trip, Paisley Logan returned to the Moore County softball field and pitched her third shutout of the season on Monday.
She shut down Tullahoma on March 11 — allowing zero runs on just one hit — to help her team earn a 11-0 victory. A couple of weeks later, she pitched another no-run affair against Fayetteville — allowing just two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 13.
On Monday, Logan went seven innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out five.
Monday’s game in Lynchburg allowed the Raiderettes a bit of pay back against the Lady Champions, who beat Moore County 13-0 in Wartrace on March 23.
Emilee Moorehead’s base running was another bright spot on Monday. The fellow senior Raiderette collected four of Moore County’s seven stolen bases. Moorehead and Logan led for the Raiderettes with two hits each. Moorehead scored the Raiderettes’ lone run in the bottom of the third when she stole home plate.
The Raiderettes move on to a district game against Fayetteville in Lincoln County on Tuesday. •
