LYNCHBURGTenn. — The Moore County Raiders put up 40 points for the second game in a row during their home opener Tuesday night but were unable to get by Cascade which scored 67 points with 26 of those points coming from one player.

Kaleb Kelso was the man for the visiting Cascade squad as he led all scorers on the night with 26 points. Meanwhile, on the home side of the leger, Anderson Sharpe was top scorer for the Raiders, being the only Moore County player with double digits at 11.

The Raiders found themselves in a 13-6 hole after one as Cooper Dickey, Braylynn Hill and Drew Hardison each had field goals. The second was better but the Raiders were still outscored 18-13 in period number two. Sharpe led the way, draining a three and following that up with a shot from the field. Deacon Liles had a pair of field goals while Hardison had a single field goal and Colton Morey was two-for-two at the line. The Raiders trailed 31-19 at the break.

The Raiders were unable to cut into the lead in the third as they only hit one field goal on their way to a nine-point showing. Most of their points came at the free throw line where Avery Rogers was four-for-six, Morey was two-for-four, and Tristyn Gray was one-for-two.

Cascade turned on the jets in the fourth, outscoring the Raiders 20-12. However, Sharpe had his best period, sizzling the cylinder with a pair of long range bombs. Gray hit a pair of field goals and Liles put in a two to round out the scoring.

Anderson Sharpe led for Moore County with 11 points. Other contributing Raiders were: Colton Morey (6), Deacon Liles (6), Tristyn Gray (5), Avery Rogers (4), Drew Hardison (4), Cooper Dickey (2), and Braylynn Hill (2).

Moore County scored 22 from the floor and another six from the perimeter. They were nine of 16 from the freethrow line.
