It was the one-two punch from a Moore County senior and a Moore County freshman that sent the Forrest Rockets girls basketball team into the L column on Tuesday. Senior Olivia Richards scored 21 and freshman Ellie Graham scored 20 to combine for 41 of Moore County's 52 points in the 52-41 victory.

Illness and injuries plagued the Raiders early this season but on Tuesday, all the pieces came together and the Raiders managed an impressive 43-33 over the Forrest Rockets – breaking a six game losing streak. Sophomore Dawson White led for the Raiders with 10 followed by fellow sophomore Alex Copeland with 9.

Raiders fall to East Robertson 5-1; settle for Class A baseball runner up
The 2021 season made the record books. It marked the first time in the history of MCHS Raider baseball that a team made the Class A State Tournament. The Raiders ended the season with a 22-11-3 overall record and a 9-1 District 8 record. They also added Region 4A winner and state runner up hardware to MCHS trophy case.

The Moore County Raiders travelled to the TSSAA Class A State Baseball Tournament on Tuesday and beat South Pittsburg 8-2 to win their first round game. They move on to play the North Greene Huskies (27-8) from Greenville today at 12:30 p.m.
State Bound: Raiders travel to play South Pittsburg
Senior Raiders wore their baseball uniforms under their cap and gowns on Friday so they could face Gordonsville in a sub state game immediately after graduation. They won 9-1 and will move on to play in the TSSAA Class A Baseball State Tournament for the first time in program history on Tuesday at 4 p.m. They play South Pittsburg.
